Smart Agriculture

Agriculture is a vital issue for every community and one of the world`s most pervasive issues. Technology continues to be an integral part of this important industry. With the influence of Industry 4.0, almost all agricultural machines, from tractors to crop tools, are equipped with sensors and the objects are also entered into the agriculture sector so that the machines can communicate with each other throughout the entire production process. Farmers and areas equipped with digital sensors show farmers how much and what kind of fertilizer should be put in which areas, how the fertilizers should be placed, weather conditions, the minerals and irrigation that plants need, the state of the soil and the estimated harvest time in detail and in real time to facilitate the producers` to the highest level. The workload and cost are also reduced thanks to the machines that talk to each other and work synchronously. In Europe, thanks to technology, agricultural production, which is already fruitful, will become even more productive through the agricultural revolution, which is the result of Industry 4.0 and some big companies call it Agriculture 4.0, and smart people will produce the best quality products quickly and cheaply .

Internet of Objects in Agriculture: agri-iot System

It is aimed to raise productivity to the highest level with the internet of objects in agriculture. Costs are low because natural resources are used at the required level. Likewise, intelligent systems found on the farm analyze all the factors necessary for production, and the producers are presented simultaneously. In this respect, resource waste is prevented and quality products are produced. In addition, fast decision making mechanisms are established by machines that are in communication with each other and synchronized with each other. The farmer is given the opportunity to manage and monitor the whole farm from a table or a telephone and the work force is reduced and efficient, fun, quality and natural production opportunities are created.

Today, companies are engaged in studies involving the internet of agricultural objects. For example, the linked farm management system of the German agricultural machinery company CLAAS is an attractive system that can be an example of the Internet of objects in agriculture and animal husbandry.

In this system, all cows in the herd are equipped with special sensors. If the cow is pregnant or sick, the animal warden is informed by SMS via these sensors and 200 megabytes of data are produced per year for each cow.

Smart Grid Results

Some of them are already in vogue with advanced technology intelligent agricultural systems, With cloud-linked and camera mini-unmanned aerial vehicles, we will be able to monitor all farms, control natural objects such as humidity and temperature with digital sensors, prevent unnecessary use of resources such as water and electricity, and reduce water pollution. In addition, farmers will be able to evaluate real-time production performance with these systems and analyze all their products and resources in detail. Productivity will also increase significantly as the Internet of objects spreads in agriculture. The ability to analyze undesirable materials such as heavy metals in the ground with the help of advanced technology, remote operation and control ability, protection of natural resources and green energy, the possibility of harvesting crops from corruption are the main aims of the companies in the agriculture sector and more and more quality and productive agriculture is being made every day by renewing the machines with industrial revolution.
